 Who is he?

Kang Wansheng as known as Ching Cheng hanji, a renowned Peking Opera master, penned over 40 reviews during a unique period of his career. In his later years, he became the target of satire by a whimsical individual.

Kang Wansheng, a distinguished Peking Opera performing artist of the Gongjingjiao, Zongqiu School, trained under the legendary performer Fang Rongxiang. Alongside Deng Muwei, Meng Guanglu, and Lao Dan Lan Wenyun, he is celebrated as one of Tianjin's "Three Hammers Once" and holds a revered status in today's Peking Opera community. His contributions have earned him widespread acclaim and a prominent position within the art form.
